ASOZIAL - SOCIAL MEDIA FOR THE ANTI-SOCIAL DEVELOPER
'asozial' noun: German for being anti-social.
Final project at Ironhack, I worked on the matching system for the social website asozial. The project’s style was based directly on the client’s existing website, ensuring a cohesive design. My main task was developing a Tinder-like matching system tailored for developers - think of it as Tinder meets LinkedIn, designed to help devs connect, collaborate, and network.
problem?
How can we effectively connect developers interested in working on projects with those offering them?

Go Duck Yourself (Yes, We Mean Code)
A Rubber Duck Debugging App
Frustrated, you stare at your code as error messages pile up. You retreat to a quiet spot, explaining your code to a rubber duck - but it offers no feedback. What if an app could listen, encourage, and guide you forward?
problem?
How can we support the frustrated programmer/coder without intervene to much and let them solve their bugs.

Destiny 2 Navigation - Merging two systems into one
Game UI re-design for Destiny 2
Destiny 2, Bungie’s sci-fi shooter, introduced the Portal for world navigation, but it’s been criticized for poor usability and for sidelining the World Director. I’ve created a prototype reimagining how the World Director could work without the Portal.
problem?
Players feel more engaged with the World Director to build on the narrative and navigation.

about
Yep, that's me
Hello everyone, I'm Dennis Dabergotz, a Front-End Web Developer with a passion for design, games, and technology. Originating from a hands-on crafting background, I transitioned to the digital realm at the School for Games, initially aiming to become a Game Developer.
However, upon graduation, I was steered towards Web Development due to its stability compared to game development. I quickly grew fond of Web Development, particularly the Front-End and Design aspects. This led me to explore UI/UX Design through bootcamps, online courses and self-study. Now, I'm keen to pursue a career as a UI/UX Designer.
